Default alpha 1 drives

are you sure you had it in forward when you took it off?did you line up the shift shaft on the drive with the shift shaft on the gimble housing?Start over, loosen the bolts on the drive, dont take them off, just pull the drive back and make sure the shift cable is in the shift fork inside the drive, there is an arm with a roller on it and there is a 2 prong arm on the shift cable, make sure the roller is in between the prongs. Now make sure the controller is in forward and the shift shaft at the bottom of the drive is facing the transom, now carefully puush the drive back on to the bolts, you can actually tighten one bolt on each side and check to see if it is done right,if it is tighten the rest of the bolts and you are done,if not ,then I reccomend getting some help because what I am telling you is easier to do than explain.Where are you located?maybe I can help you! let me know.
