started engine for first time, and started right up. day later, when i attempted to start it, alarm chime did not sound and engine did not turn over. power is going every where else(lights etc.), but not engine...have 2000 232 rinker captiva. any suggestions?

trace the power backwards,start at the key,then to the starter,then the soliniod if you got power eveywhere else,check the fuse in the main power wire (if it has one it will be very big and on the back of the motor),as always I will say this,if you are not sure what you are doing,seek professional help,it may save you alot of time and agravation!,do you know how to use a volt meter?
