Default 1984 johnson 25 horse

I have a 1984 25 johnson model number j25rcrd. It sticks in gear. I just bought it three weeks ago took it on the water ran great for hours took it home went out the next day it ran great again and then when i went to take off the next time it was stuck in gear. So i came home checked the lower gunit fluid and found it to be very milky(but no metal shavings). I drained the fluid and put new in seemed to shift fine in the yard took it on the lake and same thing happened again. its stuck in gear now i can move it out of gear some times by moving the prop. The lowerend was supposably rebuilt last year then the motor was put in storage. Since I bought the motor the mechanic wont warrenty his work cause its not the same owner. Any help or suggestins would be great thanks for reading.
