'86 Johnson 25hp

I have a Johnson 25hp outboard that has run great for years. It was stores last winter without being winterized.

The motor would not run at idle until the carb/fuel lines were cleaned out. Now the motor idles fine, but boggs down and dies when throttled on the water. I have checked the fuel pump (simple vacuum pump) cleaned it, but can't find any issues.

Any ideas..

Maybe too late for this, but did you check the 'off idle' (high speed) jets while in the carbs...found little globs of goo in mine, have to take the jets out to really clean them up like they need....
